All the products you’ll find on the Cider Is Wine website are made according to globally accepted grape winemaking rules and regulations: from 100% fruit using no concentrates.

This is very different from mass market ciders, perries and fruit wines where no international regulations apply: here in the UK you can call a drink ‘cider’ or ‘perry’ if it contains just 35% apple or pear juice (even less for fruit wines), all of which can come from concentrate. So, in a word, ‘anonymised’.

Our products are redolent of their terroir, vintage, the fruit used and the skill and passion of the maker – wines by any other name. They cover every hue and taste profile, from the driest of the dry to the sweetest of the sweet, and every point between.

Brännland Pernilla Perle 2017

This Pernilla Perle differs from earlier years in that it is drier and has a higher profile of apple clarity with more outspoken tannins with an elegant and more complex style compared to previous vintages. The balance between sugar, alcohol and fruit has been joined by a length that holds great promise for future development and ageing.

Eden Guinevere’s Pearls

This small-batch imperial cider is made from 100% Vermont-grown, Northern Spy apples, a renowned early 19th Century baking variety. Cryo-concentrated in natural cold winter weather to 22 Brix. Aged on a small amount of French oak for 6 months then filtered sterile and carbonated.

Berryland Pet Nat Apple Cider 2019

Made using the ‘méthode ancestrale’ where the cider is bottled before primary fermentation is finished and without the addition of secondary yeasts or sugars to provide a natural in-bottle sparkle. Apples are sourced from the company’s own chemical-free orchards in Makarisvska Buda, near the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, and the resulting cider is made only from 100% juice without the use of any concentrates, to produce a drink that shows great balance and the lower alcohol that are hallmarks of the company’s products.
